Dining and Banquet Server

Essential Functions:

The server is the face of Blue Hills for our members. Their job is of the utmost importance in that it is a direct representation of what we strive for here at the club. Servers interact with membership more than nearly every other facet of the BHCC F&B team. We expect all servers to be cordial, timely, courteous, and knowledgeable in not only culinary and beverage traditions but our specific members’ wants and needs.

Job Tasks:

  • Maintain a current knowledge of our seasonal menu offerings
  • Manage an updated knowledge of bar offerings and our specific SOP for cocktails
  • Full steps of service adherence in all member interactions
  • Setting up and tearing down of side station for each shift
  • Various side work tasks including polishing silverware and glassware, roll ups, napkin folds, and other needed work
  • Running food when needed
  • Answering the phone and taking to go orders
  • Setting up of banquets including card groups, weddings, meetings, and other events that may require the ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintaining a tidy workspace including side stations and adhering to a weekly cleaning schedule of work areas
  • Assisting with execution of banquets when needed

Pay Range: $9 plus tip pool. (Minimum $14 hr.) $10 plus tip pool,(Minimum $15 hr.)  $11 max (Minimum $16 hr.) dependent upon experience
