EVENT LEAD

Job Description:

The event lead is the right hand of the Event Coordinator in that they assume a sort of junior management position at the club. It is this employee’s responsibility to be the point person for the event and oversee the effective execution of various events including weddings, holiday parties, birthdays, meetings, and many more.

This employee must have strong leadership abilities as well as the capability to follow directives given from upper management. This person must also be comfortable adapting to a changing landscape in that they may be asked to play any role in the banquet field.

Education/Experience: Liquor handler card needed. At least 3 years of banquet or similar equivalent service recommended. 


Job Tasks:

  • Welcome the host and guests during an event

  • Be the point person for the host during events for any questions or requests

  • Work with coordinator to ensure all rooms are set according to BEO standard

  • Ensure proper guest counts, final room layout, and special requests obtained and communicated prior to events start time

  • Assist with client meetings and designing floor plans

  • Assist with emails and client calls 

  • Assisting with tearing down events and resetting to either next event or standard floor plans 

  • Cohesive work with event coordinator to execute events on day of

  • Managing event staff to effectively execute banquets on occasion

  • Interfacing directly with point of contact for the event to resolve any conflicts and adjust timeline as needed

  • Run banquet with little assistance from management staff according to BHCC SOPs 

  • Assist behind the bar when needed – If of age

  • Communication with the kitchen as it pertains to food readiness and timeliness

  • Proper storage and cleaning of event equipment including chaffers, tables, chairs, and other event specific items
